Well-developed transport infrastructure is a major advantage of living in a city. Residents appreciate the fact that they can quickly reach schools and kindergartens, medical facilities, shops or go directly to the city centre. The infrastructure development is currently taking place around Buivydiškės in Vilnius which bring exactly these amenities and high added value.
Newly paved streets, viaducts, paths and public transport routes are becoming important threads that connect parts of the city and bring neighbourhoods closer together. Older residents also point out that sustainable infrastructure development has a positive impact on their property values, as do well-kept green spaces. It is due to these factors that Buivydiškės, located in the western part of the capital, is actively growing in the number of new residents, with more and more families finding the right balance of life here.
More connections - more convenience
Buivydiškės is currently undergoing an intensive expansion of its urban infrastructure. The Vilnius Western Bypass, connecting Oslo Street in the south of the city with Ukmergės Highway in the north, is at the heart of transport links. In just a few minutes, residents of Buivydiškės can reach the Vilnius Outlet shopping centre, other shops and social services.

The new viaduct will greatly benefit the closer connection between Buivydiškės and Justiniškės – a direct link between the two parts of the city will make it possible to reach Justiniškės in just a few minutes. The viaduct will connect Mozūriškių Street with Helsinkio and Rygos Streets.
The viaduct project, which has already been built and is due to open later this year, is seen by local residents as a crucial step in improving local transport infrastructure. In particular, they say, the viaduct will allow them to reach kindergartens and schools, as well as medical and cultural institutions in Justiniškės in just a few minutes.

According to Edvinas Malevskis, head of the real estate development company REWO, the face of Buivydiškės is currently shaped most by the actively changing environment of Mozūriškių Street. New low-rise construction projects - Town House, Naujoji Anglija and their continuation - MO Garden - are appearing here one after another. The first two projects have already been successfully developed and occupied, while MO Garden is filling up with new residents. Along with the development of the latter project, a section of Mozūriškių Street will be completed, which will connect with Helsinkio Street.

Along with the new street section, new public transport routes will be introduced into the life of the district, and bus stops will be installed next to the real estate projects. This will make it easier for residents to get to Justiniškės or Pilaitė, as well as to the central part of the city.
Vilnius City Municipality's plans also include a pedestrian bridge, which will provide mutual benefits. Residents of Justiniškės will find it easier to walk to the nature of Buivydiškės, and residents of Buivydiškės will be able to access social infrastructure.
Emphasises the importance of good transport links
The green spaces and paths in Buivydiškės attract members of the Justiniškės community living in the neighbourhood. According to the locals, Justiniškės is a fairly densely populated area of Vilnius, which is why every nearby forest or park is a great asset where you can go for a jog, walk your dog or just relax in nature after a day's work.

For Buivydiškės residents, this natural luxury is right at their doorstep. At the same time, the transport infrastructure to the city is just as convenient as in Justiniškės, which has long been integrated into the urban fabric: the same Western bypass, convenient viaduct exits, easily accessible public transport stops, and well-connected routes.
"When connections to the city centre and other parts of the city are easy and fast, people save a lot of time and find it easier to plan their day. That is why we always develop our projects in places where accessibility is developed, while at the same time the value of being surrounded by nature and increased privacy is clear," says E. Malevskis, Head of REWO. The company has successfully implemented a number of exceptional projects in this part of the city.
The project was inspired by the natural surroundings
The MO Garden low-rise development offers privacy and security - the project area is gated. On the other hand, it is a great opportunity to foster neighbourly ties and create a friendly community.

According to E. Malevskis, REWO's clients who choose to live here value the exceptional location the most. It is close to ponds and a forest, although the area is not far from the city centre and is easily accessible, as it is currently undergoing major infrastructure changes and development.
In general, being surrounded by nature has given developers a number of ideas about what MO Garden should be. For example, the project has implemented the Japanese landscape design principle of borrowing the environment: a system of undergrowth biotope, with at least three layers of plants interacting in the residential area. The plants in the green areas have been carefully selected according to the flora typical of the area, in order to replicate the natural vegetation and to blend harmoniously into the local ecosystem.
