Living in a modern two-level apartment like your own house

Cosy low-rise buildings, spacious terraces, private yards and nature in front of you. All this influenced interior designer Ieva Viesuliene, who designed the interior of the MO Garden real estate project in Vilnius. 

The designer chose a modern minimalist style, based on the colour scheme of the Japandi style, and tried to maintain a visual sense of space. The two-level apartment is therefore decorated with light colours from nature, functional furniture and details. The natural ceiling motif in the living room and the 5 metre high window in the staircase were exceptional interior details. And to add to the cosiness of the space, various lighting sources have been chosen.

Many practical benefits

I. Viesulienė says that she always designs living spaces to ensure comfortable movement, with distances between furniture that do not cause inconvenience, while also maximizing the use of space for storage.

"A two-level apartment creates a clear separation between living and leisure areas. Some family members can rest peacefully on the second floor while others spend the evening downstairs. The second floor is also free of smells from the kitchen when cooking," says the interior designer of the practical advantages of the home. 

According to her, the creative solutions - using light tones, functional furniture layout, and the right lighting - have made the apartment's space feel even bigger. The high ceilings and large floor-to-ceiling windows provide a sense of space, with views of the nearby forest or the internal park. And the private courtyard and terrace add an extra layer of private space - just outside. 

What kind of changes does an urban person dream of?

I. Viesulienė notes that a secure private yard, separate entrances, a well-manicured lawn and a cosy terrace are what many people in the city who are planning life changes want. 

Another alternative would be to own your own house, but most buyers immediately realise that this can be a time-consuming decision - the house and its surroundings requires constant and active maintenance. In comparison, the MO Garden frees you from similar worries, giving you a sense of privacy and your own space next to the apartment. 

The location of the settlement is also important. It is close to the Vilnius Western Bypass, so you can quickly get to any part of the city. The settlement has large distances between houses, a spacious residents' park with children's areas and trails leading to the nearby forest and Buivydiškės Ponds.  

Those choosing between a standard apartment in a block of flats and a two-level apartment in MO Garden project also appreciate that the latter type of housing does not have a common staircase and can avoid the maintenance costs associated with it.
